Eyes squinted, head titled, he said, ‘I quite agree. The way the colours blend into a sense of surrealism.’
‘The sculpture’s stillness speaks volumes. Don’t you think?’
‘Such illusionistic realism.’
‘Expressionism.’
‘Impressionism.’
‘Junk. That’s a pile of tossed out car parts.’ The mechanic with screwed up nose behind the couple. He rubbed his oil-stained cap on his head then held out their keys. ‘Your car’s fixed. Now you’re free to get out more.’
