Mundane Ways

‘It’s the perfect gift for that person who has everything.’

‘What is it?’

‘It’s a life clock with camouflaging wristband to suit all wardrobes that counts down the days left in your life. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee the watch for a lifetime.’

‘Why not? Will the battery run out?’

‘No, fate steps in occasionally with accidental deaths,’ he said with air quotes.

‘You can’t predict a lifespan.’

‘Sure, it’s just science you know.’

‘But this is a life clock.’

‘To beat the mundane days and to help you make better life choices for your future.’

‘I’ll take two.’

(100 words)

Side note ~ apparently some scientists have created a life-clock for real!

Would you buy one?

  1. Cool little short and an interesting idea…not sure I’d bother with one, but if there was a subscription service to give me a 24 hour warning so I could factor in a last beer or two I’d probably pay a nominal fee 🙂
